KEEP, Emergency aid, emergency, keystone
The Keystone Extraordinary Emergency Program (KEEP) is a ONE-TIME emergency grant for UNDERGRADUATE students, who have a financial need of $1,000 or less, with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, facing an unexpected financial crisis that likely will result in the need to withdraw from school. Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the KEEP Program Coordinator.

The Keystone Extraordinary Emergency Program (KEEP) is a ONE-TIME emergency grant for UNDERGRADUATE students, who have a financial need of $1,000 or less, with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, facing an unexpected financial crisis that likely will result in the need to withdraw from school. Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the KEEP Program Coordinator.
Eligibility requirements
- Full-time UNDERGRADUATE student at Penn West or Commonwealth Universities
- Cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0 or higher
- Experiencing a documented financial hardship or crisis (Documentation of your unexpected emergency must be provided with your application)
- Exhausted all other federal and state financial aid resources, including loans.
- Must have submitted a FAFSA for current academic year
- Financial need is a one-time, unexpected emergency expense, NOT a chronic financial need
- Student, without the KEEP grant, would other wise have to drop out
- KEEP funds could, in good faith, resolve the financial need and prevent drop out
